So. Doctor appointment.
Tuesday has gained more weight but her head has not grown. Her head is, in fact, oddly shaped, which led Christine and the doctor to wonder what's going on inside that head, namely, what's going on with Tuesday's brain. We know that her brain has differences from other baby brains, we just have no idea what those differences might be. Also, the doctor agreed with Christine that Tuesday is looking worse. Areas of her face are blue which means she's not getting enough oxygen which means her breathing isn't cutting it anymore. We can only turn her oxygen up so much before we're blowing more air into her lungs than she can handle.
She will not be bottle feeding. We decided that it's too much to put her through; there is quite a bit of testing involved and, well, we just don't want more poking and prodding of her than is strictly necessary. It would also work a lot better if she had a stomach tube since the nasal feeding tube she has now might make swallowing hard on her. Well, we're not going through with the stomach tube either; again, too much poking and prodding. The benefits just don't outweigh the costs in our opinion.
Sorry, once again there are no pictures. Sometime soon, perhaps, just not today.
Well, we might send out a few thank yous anyway.
