These pics are from yesterday. I have none from today yet. I suck.

New neonatologist means reiterating all of our desires for our baby, apparently. I was not around yesterday to meet Tuesday's new doctor (she's not actually "Tuesday's doctor" she's the neonatologist for the whole unit) but from what Christine tells me it sounds like we are now being, ahem, encouraged to take Tuesday home with us. The nurse we had last night was very much in favor of us taking the baby home, too. It was very unsettling for Christine, and understandably so. We had already made this decision and received the support of the staff there. Now that decision was being questioned, a lot, by new staff. It really made us miss the people we'd been dealing with before.
So, as a result of that and as a product of some things we heard yesterday, we're now planning on bringing Tuesday home to be with us for a while. It wasn't that we caved under their pressure so much that we really didn't want to constantly be repeating our wishes and get subjected to comments like "well, there are a lot of advantages to having her at home" and "you really should think more about taking her home with you." Perhaps that is caving, on second thought. Also, the nurse last night made a few comments implying that Tuesday could be with us for much longer than a few days. These comments were actually much more, pardon me, morbid than that, but that's part of what we got out of them.
What the nurse actually said was, to paraphrase, that if we took out Tuesday's feeding tube and stopped filling her tummy then she wouldn't linger as long. This comment upset us both. A lot. I mean, no crap she wouldn't linger as long, people tend to not hang around when you starve them. This opened up a can of worms for us as Tuesday's parents. Anyway, what we came away from the conversation with was an inclination to have our baby home with us.
Analyzing those words again we came to the conclusion that the nurse was saying Tuesday could be with us for weeks. If that's the case then we'd rather have her with us than in the hospital. She can receive the same level of care, so we're not depriving her anything. Essentially, we'd like our daughter's life to be as full of us, her family, as possible and we can fill her remaining days with us much more if she lives with us. To that effect we're having another care conference tomorrow morning at which we're hoping to arrange everything we'll need to have Tuesday spend the rest of her days at home with her immediate family, all of whom would like to see that happen. Depending on how things go we might get to bring her home on Friday. I'm not counting any chickens or anything, just stating a possibility.
Because it's on my mind at the moment, i'd like to thank everyone again for all the kind thoughts, words and actions. It all means so much to us right to have such wonderful support. Thank you.
